QuickMap brought cadastral, title, property and imagery information together in a New Zealand desktop product. Custom Software dates its establishment to 1996; a National Library record documents QuickMap Professional from 2002. Surveyors, valuers and property professionals could use packaged information without building a general-purpose GIS implementation themselves. Its history belongs to the local software businesses that organised national datasets around a particular profession’s daily work.
