DSIR Physics and Engineering Laboratory

The laboratory coordinated the Landsat II Investigation Programme, with Mervyn Probine associated with the national effort. The September 1977 final report documents early digital image processing, rectification and classification. It connects mainframe and minicomputer work with the practical question of extracting useful information from satellite observations.
