Hurunui District Council

An August 2000 MapInfo-L message from Jolanda Simon, Hurunui District Council’s IT Officer, describes a MapInfo 6 Hotlink workflow. From a map layer, 78 mapped objects opened separate MapInfo workspaces. Simon also records a mixed desktop environment running Windows 2000 and Windows 95/98. The correspondence documents operational desktop GIS at Hurunui by that date without establishing when the council first used GIS.
