The 2003–05 Te Tau Ihu project documented iwi use of GIS for cultural information and environmental planning. Garth Harmsworth, Mick Park and Dean Walker appear in the project record. Public and restricted information were managed separately, providing an early operational example of geographic data governance within an iwi collaboration.
