Contemporary Landonline papers by Tony Bevin, Anselm Haanen and Neil Sutherland describe a system designed around digital submission, automated validation and closer integration of geodetic, cadastral and title information. The surveyor was no longer only submitting a document for LINZ staff to interpret. The surveyor was becoming a direct producer of structured national data.
