Peter Fraser asked GISList for clarification about its administration and said he knew of no handover to the user group. A message dated 29 March 2007 was addressed to the “GIS User List” at gislist [at] gis-list.gisuser.co.nz. By 2008 the system also used a gislist-owner [at] gis-list.gisuser.co.nz address and automated subscription controls. Practitioners shared jobs, data sources, conference notices and fixes for ArcGIS, Python, LiDAR, GPS and NZMG-to-NZTM migration.
