Peter Hunt carried out photogrammetric interpretation and produced maps used in the spatial database for the Taiaroa Head northern royal albatross project, while graduate students assisted with GPS post-processing and Department of Conservation staff supported the field work. The project joined surveying, wildlife management, photogrammetry and GIS in a way that would become increasingly ordinary over the next decade.
