Robin Falconer operated GeoResearch Associates from 1980 to 1994, according to his 2014 account. The environmental and oceanographic consultancy used GIS alongside survey and scientific investigation, including early-1990s deepwater bathymetry. Falconer also participated in the early Esri user community.
